1290 Birth

Gwenllian was born about 1290, the child of Rhys Foel ap Rhys Goch and Llian ferch Cynhaethwy. She was of the family of Einion ap Gollwyn.

Marriage to Hopkin ap Hywel

She married Hopkin ap Hywel Fychan and had ten or eleven children. (The children are shown on husband Hywel's profile.)[1][2]

Would someone please explain the difference between "ferch" and "verch"?

The Welsh alphabet does not have a "v" - the "f" in "ferch" sounds like a v, so the English spelled it "verch" (both mean "daughter of").
